Musicians from the University of Kansas music department were invited to give concerts in Eutin. It was an experiment to determine whether collaboration between the department and the Eutin Summer Festival organizers would solve some financial difficulties for the coming season. The musicians included Robert Walzel, Dean of the School of Music, David Neely, KU Orchestra Director, and five students: Lukasz Lagun, violin; Robert McNichols, bass baritone; Hugo Vera, tenor; Amy Cahill, soprano; and Kristian Bucy, soprano.
